Divine Mercy Ministry Leads Congregation in Veneration of Divine Mercy Image; Promotes Eucharistic Adoration
Reported by Justin Agustin, Worship Committee for St Joseph Church - April 14, 2018
The Divine Mercy Ministry led the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in Song at each Mass this past Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8. They promoted Jesus’ promise to those who enthrone and venerate the Divine Mercy image in their homes; introduced a new Parish-based Renewal Program called Hearts-Afire and promoted to seek adorers for the St. John Paul II Adoration Chapel.
Note: These activities were done before and after 7 masses (6 pm Saturday Vigil Mass and 6 Sunday Masses from 6 am, 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 5 pm and 7 pm). After each Mass, in order to make people aware of the promises associated with the image, the ministry gave away a free 8x10 Divine Mercy image to each family. In addition, the ministry was invited by the Benedictines to give a Divine Mercy presentation at the Monastery in Waialua from 2 pm – 4 pm.
