Tim Cook vs Meta, 'Servant' vs a lawsuit, and Home Hub may be delayed, on the AppleInsider Podcast

Just as Meta's Mark Zuckerberg makes another criticism of Apple, Tim Cook gives a very rare candid interview, while Apple TV+ is promoting "Severance" but defending "Servant," and the Home Hub could be held up.

While the shadow of an impending ban of TikTok took over the news cycle, this week also saw Apple CEO Tim Cook give actual answers about his personal life — and love of chocolate — to a food podcast. It was remarkable how much this topic of food drew the man out, and you definitely saw a new side of him.

Whereas you saw exactly the same old side to Mark Zuckerberg as he slammed Apple for failing to do anything new in 20 years — otherwise known as just about the same time since he did either. Pot, meet kettle.

Plus Apple TV+ has been creatively getting itself into the news with its rather unique promotion of "Severance" — and at the same time is trying to get itself out of a lawsuit over "Servant."

Yeah, no. Zuckerberg hasn't had an original thought since he no doubt cry-babied his way into this world at birth. He has been extremely good at monetizing other people's ideas: Facebook, Instagram, What'sApp. His one foray into sort-of-but-not-really original thought was, wait for it... The Metaverse! Yeah, remember when that was definitely, positively gonna be "the next big thing." He blew countless billions on that ridiculous failure, not that Mark really cares about the losses because all that money came from abusing your personal data and right to privacy, slicing, dicing and monetizing you in any way that he can. South Park had an episode long ago that anointed The Biggest Douchebag in the Universe, and I wish they would do it again so we could honor Zuck with the only title he deserves.
