Overview
From The School
Location
Jefferson has two incredible campuses right in Philadelphia:
Our beautiful East Falls campus is 104 acres of green space in a quiet neighborhood that's just 12 minutes from Center City. The campus is home to both undergraduate and graduate students and includes first-year and upper-class residence halls, athletic facilities and places to hang out.
In the heart of Center City, our campus occupies 12 contiguous blocks and is home to many of our graduate programs, as well as the Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
Campus Facilities & Equipment
Jefferson's East Falls campus features historic landmarks smartly interspersed with state-of-the-art buildings on more than 100 acres of quiet green space. From our Admissions Center known as White Corners (which was the decoy location for Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner's wedding) and Ravenhill Mansion (where Grace Kelly once went to school) to LEED-certified buildings like the Lawrence N. Field Design, Engineering & Commerce Center and the Kay & Harold Health & Applied Science Center, there is always something beautiful and interesting to discover:
- The Paul J. Gutman Library is much more than a library, with virtual reality equipment, a laptop clinic, group presentation rooms and study spaces
- The Architecture & Design Center provides 24/7 studio space, fabrication labs, 3D printers and a materials library.
- The Center for Sustainability, Energy Efficiency & Design offers a CAD lab, research facilities and smart classrooms.
- Hayward Hall holds the Fashion & Textiles Futures Center, a wood and metal shop, engineering labs and textile looms.
Located in various academic buildings, Nexus Learning? classrooms are flexible learning environments (with advanced technology like smart whiteboards) that allow professors and students to rearrange the setup to improve collaboration and participate in hands-on experiences–two hallmarks of a Jefferson education.
Undergraduates live in nine locations on campus, offering a variety of living situations to suit each student. There are two dining halls and the Kanbar Campus Center features Ted's Barista, billiards and ping pong tables, the campus bookstore and mail services.
All students enjoy the Gallagher Athletic, Recreation & Convocation Center, which features a fitness center, jogging track and basketball, volleyball and racquetball courts. Our NCAA Division II Rams compete at athletics facilities like Alumni Field, the Abraham J. Salaman Tennis Courts, Ravenhill Athletic Field and The Softball Field. Nearby, the rowing team is based at Crescent Boat Club on Philadelphia's famed Boathouse Row, and the golf teams call Union League Liberty Hill their home.

Off-Campus Opportunities
Jefferson prides itself on the many strong relationships it maintains with top employers in a number of industries in Philadelphia and beyond, and our Rams benefit from these relationships at all stages of their Jefferson career:
Class projects often involve working on real-world problems for real
companies (think Comcast, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, NASA, QVC), through which students gain invaluable experience and make important connections. Some classes, like the New York Immersions course in the Fashion Merchandising & Management program, take frequent trips to New York City. And Jefferson offers an array of Study Away opportunities in more than 30 locations across the U.S. and around the world.
As students seek to determine and refine their professional aspirations, our Career Services Center can assist with landing internships at desirable businesses–often for academic credit.
The Philadelphia area is home to numerous top corporations seeking to hire top talent, and Jefferson is where they get it: We have a 97% job and graduate school placement rate and are ranked among the "Most Hired From Schools" (DesignIntelligence) and the "10 National Universities Where Grads Are Paid Well" (U.S. News & World Report).
