From the School
With 12-month master's degree programs in the worlds of media and communications, games, tech, film and television, marketing, and business, Full Sail University is dedicated to graduate students who want more than the status quo. Our career-focused approach prepares students with real-world industry experience and the creative problem-solving skills they need to take their careers to the next level.
We're not your average university. Our online and on-campus degree programs are accelerated, courses are project-based, and curriculum is hands-on. That means graduate students can start and finish their degree faster, build a strong portfolio, and get industry insights from professors with extensive, up-to-date experience in their field.
For more than 12 years, our online degree programs have demonstrated Full Sail's commitment to a fast-paced, immersive learning experience with 24/7 flexibility. Classes combine real-time interaction and collaboration with professors and classmates. And with Project Launchbox included, online students get the software and industry technologies they need to create anywhere.
Located in sunny Winter Park, Florida, Full Sail was founded in 1979. Throughout our history, Full Sail has received accolades including awards for top schools in game design, game development, music, film, graphic design, and animation, and has been named "School/College of the Year" by FAPSC. Our accelerated degree programs contain more credit hours per month, allowing students to graduate in 12 months. That means student schedules are full-time, round-the-clock, which also prepares them for the 24/7 nature of a fast-paced industry.
Courses are designed in a specific order, so that instructors understand where students are in their educational journey and students can avoid class registration stress.
At Full Sail, graduate students learn practical concepts they can apply to their career right away. They learn to do and to create with industry-standard methods and equipment. Along the way, they build polished, professional portfolios with projects that demonstrate their real-world experience in their field, like creating a short film, a video game, go-to-market plan, or multi-media campaign.

Admission Processes and Requirements
At Full Sail, classes begin monthly for most graduate programs, so you can apply anytime and start on the date that works best for you. We also do not require you to complete the GRE or submit your GRE scores to apply for a graduate program.
- You must have a baccalaureate or higher level degree from an accredited postsecondary educational institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education with a transfer academic average of 2.0 (2.5 for Game Design), OR a Full Sail bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (2.5 for Game Design).
- Degree held must be of similar scope/subject matter as the intended graduate degree program.
- Students who do not meet this criteria may be considered for admission upon provision of a Letter of Intent and a professional resume. An Admissions Representative can assist you in determining whether additional documentation will be needed.
The first step in the enrollment process is to schedule an interview with an Admissions Representative; this will give you the opportunity to ask us any questions you may have, and, most importantly, determine whether Full Sail is right for you.
You can contact Full Sail's Admissions Department at: 800.226.7625 toll free or at 407.679.6333. Admissions Representatives are available to answer your questions Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM ET.
