Career Experience
Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom; substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level; assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level.
I Love Tutoring Because
it allows me the flexibility of remote work and flexible work hours, while continuing my passion for helping people to learn to the very best of their abilities. One of my favorite quotes is from Albert Einstein: "Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school." It's quirky and I love it! School is often rote learning contained within the walls of a classroom for a common goal/test. Tutoring allows one to go beyond the barriers of the classroom setting and enables the "aha" moments to occur using multiple facets, when learning truly becomes an education which will last a lifetime.
