Career Experience

My experience with teaching/tutoring started actually in 2005, when I first joined Tutor.com through Latinhire while in college, studying chemical engineering. I found it was an amazing way to practice English (which was already quite good back then), my tutoring skills and earn my own money with a part-time job. I enjoyed it so much and gained a lot of experience, to the point that I became a mentor and even started working as an assistant teacher at the university. Since my work at the university was increasing and my studies became more demanding, I stopped working for Tutor.com in 2010. After I graduated, I worked for oil & gas companies for 7 years, as a process engineer and later as a project engineer for over a year while working on a construction site in France. I returned to Argentina in 2017 and continued working for the same company in a more managerial position, only to realise that I needed a change in my life. I quit my job in 2018 and started traveling (for undetermined time), living on my savings and volunteering in community and environmental projects, as well as expanding my knowledge and interest in dormant passions such as yoga, cooking, meditation and surfing. While living in Australia I worked as a Spanish and Italian teacher and that made me realise how much I missed teaching and that I could actually start doing it again. After 2 years of amazing traveling around the world, I found myself with the right mindset and opportunity to go back to tutoring, so here I am and I'm enjoying it so much!

helping others is so empowering and rewarding! It allows students to gain more confidence about themselves and their capabilities while it allows tutors to learn by teaching and building bridges in their students' minds, one at a time, working together towards shared goals. "Thank you! I understand now" is what makes it all worthwhile! :)
